Minnesota (the dj not the state), The Canopy Club, and Bro bro's

                          Minnesota

                          The Canopy Club
For my final project in my photography class I am doing a series of photos from different shows at The Canopy Club. I was fortunate enough to be granted access as a photographer and will be shooting a variety of different shows there. The first of which being Minnesota. As far as EDM goes, it all pretty much sounded like the same old WOMP WOMP as per usual but one of the things that made it unique was the projection light show that it had going on. For the smaller acts opening the show it started out pretty basic with a TRON feel to it (that i enjoyed) and as the night progressed it got more intense with colors and video .. Well anyway here are some shots from the show

Oh yeah almost forgot, bro's, there were a bunch of bro's

Black-Lights , Franzia and Face-Paint

This was the 2nd photo-shoot that I directed for my photography class. The project had to be pictures of people following a theme. Since my last shoot was done mainly in Black/White I wanted to do something completely different and have the colors radiate from the pictures. Once again I employed my beautiful lady friends and bribed them with the highest quality of boxed wine.

Action Bronson and homages

                                                 Action Bronson
In case you didn't know Action Bronson is the man. His new video is especially awesome, it pays homage to numerous films such as "Easy Rider", "Kill Bill", "Rambo", "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest" and the Guns 'n' Roses music video " November Rain". If you haven't experienced this video in its full "Easy Rider" awesomeness, check it out. In the video below Action pays tribute to 70's Grind-house films

and lastly "Bird on a Wire" my favorite Action Bronson track

Terry Richardson, myself, and pretty bitches

For my last project in photography class we had to choose a famous photographer and emulate their style. for my project I chose Terry Richardson. I like how simple his style is and I also like how gritty his shots look. There really isn't a lot to it, just hard white lights and pretty girls (and guys if you're into that sort of thing) looking a little fucked up.. Well any way here are some of his shots and some of mine ... I think the project went pretty well and I'm really happy with how my shots turned out
                              Terry Richardson

Terry's shot on top, the bottom is one of mine

obviously i dont know Lindsay Lohan

I dont know this bitch either

Nintendo Princess Sugar Skull Stuff

I like checking out stuff on Deviant Art and other alternative art web-sites, one web-site I discovered recently is redbubble.com, its kind of similar to Deviant Art but it focuses more on selling merchandise with the art on it. Anyway, I found these renditions of the Nintendo Princesses done in a sugar skull/ dia del muerte style

Oliver Hibert and LSD or something of that nature

                                  Oliver Hibert

I look at this stuff and it reminds me of the black light pictures I had in my room when I was in high school. Its totally groovy and makes me wanna do awesome drugs ... not really .. well maybe? I also like how some of his stuff is quasi explicit, very vagina-ish Y  butt-hole-ish but perhaps maybe its my own filthy mind filling in the blanks.

Okay thats a vagina ... kinda

Grounds Keeper Willie and Scotland's Independence

I dont really have an opinion on Scotlands independence, and frankly i dont care, but i did see that The Simpsons own Grounds Keeper Willie voiced his opinion, and i did read some articles on the subject. Whilst reading the articles I noticed some artwork by a UK artist named Sam Taylor. I really like the Simpsons tribute pieces that (she?) did.
